Riv Lux Media is an independent digital studio based in New York. We design and build custom websites, 3D and WebGL experiences, browser games, and web apps — in English and Spanish.

Working with a small New York studio

New York has no shortage of web agencies. Most are one of two things: a large shop where your project is staffed by whoever is available, or a freelancer who disappears when a bigger client calls.

We are deliberately the third thing. A studio small enough that you always talk to the person doing the work, and established enough that thirteen projects are live and running right now.

What that changes in practice:

• No account-management layer. You describe the problem to the person who will solve it.
• Decisions in hours, not sprints. Small teams do not need a ceremony to change a colour.

Bilingual work, which New York actually needs

New York is one of the most Spanish-speaking cities in the United States, and a large share of its small businesses serve customers who are more comfortable in Spanish than in English.

That is not an edge case here. Jackson Heights is 63% Hispanic with roughly 3,300 businesses. Washington Heights is known as Little Dominican Republic. Corona, Elmhurst, Sunset Park, and much of the Bronx are the same story.

Do you have to be in New York?

No. Most of our work is remote and always has been. New York is where the studio is, not a requirement for the client.

If you are local and want to meet in person, we do that. If you are in Chicago or Guadalajara and want to work over video and a shared repo, that is how most of these projects run anyway.

Common questions

Do you have an office we can visit? We work as a distributed studio rather than from a client-facing office. Meetings happen on video, or in person somewhere in the city when it is genuinely useful.

Do you work with businesses outside the five boroughs? Yes — across the US and internationally. The work is the same; only the timezone changes.

Can you handle a project that needs both English and Spanish from day one? That is one of the things we are best at, and it is materially cheaper to decide at the start than to retrofit later.

What kinds of businesses do you usually work with? Independent businesses and small teams that need a site to actually do a job — restaurants, clinics, legal practices, publishers, wellness brands, and product companies. Our own portfolio spans wellness, publishing, wine, games, and AI.
