What we build
Riv Lux Media is an independent digital studio in New York. We design and build four things, and we build all of them end to end: strategy, design, engineering, launch.
Every project is shipped by the same small team that designed it, so nothing gets handed off to an offshore build shop and there's no account manager between you and the person writing the code.
The four
Web design and development
Fast, clear brand websites that convert. The design is custom and the front-end is written by hand, with a real content strategy behind both. It's most of what we do.

3D and WebGL websites
Real-time 3D in the browser, built with WebGL, three.js, and custom GLSL shaders. Our homepage uses a particle system to show the interaction and visual direction.
Browser games
Playable marketing that people share. The whole game is a link that opens and plays, so nobody has to visit an app store, install anything, or add a plugin first. We've shipped five.
Web apps and AI products
Tools with a working brain behind the interface. That means progressive web apps, dashboards, and AI-backed products that still do something real once the demo is over.
Two languages, natively
We write and build in English and Spanish, and we write each language directly instead of translating one into the other. Three of our own products ship bilingual copy that was drafted in Spanish first, and it reads that way.

That schedule describes a larger custom build. For a focused one-pager, we confirm the plan separately. Base builds have a defined scope and price. Optional services can be priced per task, by approved hours, or through a monthly care or growth agreement, and we agree the cost and any hour limit before we start.
Common questions
Do you work with clients outside New York? Yes. Most of our work is remote. The studio is in New York, but our clients don't have to be.
Do you do SEO? We build sites that are technically sound for search (server-rendered HTML, structured data, clean information architecture, fast Core Web Vitals), and we write the content with search intent in mind. Ongoing content and search improvement work can be scoped separately, with agreed deliverables and reporting. We don't make ranking promises.
Can you take over a site someone else built? Often, yes. Rescuing an existing codebase is a different job from a fresh build, so we look at the code before quoting.
Do you build on WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify? We build custom when custom is the right answer, and we say so when it isn't. If a Shopify store is what your business needs, we'll tell you that. We won't try to sell you an engineering project instead.
